Welcome to the new Five Pines Dental website! Located in downtown Portland, our office is dedicated to surprise-free, friendly, and patient-focused dentistry. As a practicing general dentist for more than a decade, Dr. Z provides excellent care for the whole family.

Originally born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Z became interested in dentistry during his undergraduate education, and attended dental school at the University of Missouri Kansas City. After moving to Portland, he founded Five Pines Dental, fulfilling his dream of owning and operating his own practice.

Dr. Z is dedicated to excellent dental care. He has invested in the latest technology like CBCT scanners and a modern dental office, as well as his own continuing education. He’s constantly learning more about dentistry, and how to provide even better service to our patients in Portland. When he’s not in the office, you can find Dr. Z in his wood shop, in the garden, hiking or snowboarding with his wife Catharine, or going on adventures with their daughter Ruth.
